The September courses combine lecture with hands-on learning and development of independent research ideas and projects. Courses in a minor must be taken for quality grades, and more than half of the requirements for a minor must be met by registering for courses bearing University of Chicago course numbers. Space permitting, the September course is also open to undergraduate and graduate students in other programs, who may request permission to take it from the Director of Digital Studies.
